Pre-Acquisition Due Diligence

Empire Value Advisors specializes in pre-acquisition and pre-disposition due diligence. The diligence includes financial, operational and systems inquiry and analysis.

The due diligence process for each engagement is structured to address the following three key elements in the process:

Buyer Beware: The Seller is entitled to "package" the company to maximum advantage. Procedures are designed to uncover negative trends and risks that are buried in numbers, contracts, etc.

Assume but Control Risk: The Buyer always assumes some risk in a transaction, procedures are designed first to highlight risks and then to ultimately suggest ways to mitigate and control risk.

Identify Opportunity: Often overlooked by many consultants in their zeal to be professionally skeptical, there are often opportunities for value creation or enhancement that are not readily apparent to a Buyer or even the Seller. Empire Value Advisors will identify and attempt to translate findings into value.
