Due Diligence
EVA specializes in financial and business due diligence with the aim of providing visibility of true value drivers. Due diligence is not about revenues and cost of goods sold, but about understanding trends and momentum, and assessing the numbers to ascertain whether a company is well managed or to find hidden risks.

Financial diligence is understanding contribution margin, raw material market dynamics, and fixed cost leverage and discipline. Business diligence is evaluating end market dynamics, the growth track record, manufacturing efficiency, and the management team. Financial statements do not tell the whole story. Our reports and observations are designed to address the drivers up front and then ultimately to demonstrate how those drivers translate into financial results.

Portfolio Monitoring
Coming out of the due diligence process, each company’s historical results and key drivers are already reconciled and contained within the
PE Perspective®. The resulting reports are posted on our clients’ server and EVA takes on the responsibility of updating and publishing these reports each month in the interest of providing clients with visibility of every key trend indentified in the initial diligence phase.
The transition is therefore seamless, and our clients’ capabilities are significantly increased as they manage their new company.

With this monitoring function in place, our clients can view portfolio-wide trends in revenues, margins, and working capital. The system provides an actionable tool that enables them to focus on optimizing particular aspects of performance. If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it. The PE Perspective® gives our clients something unique in the industry – a system that tracks company performance across
all industries and translates that performance into the measurements and metrics that are important to them (you?).

Sell-Side Services
Sell-side services are performed in advance of the sale process, and again, the foundation of those services is the PE Perspective®.
At this point, our clients likely have 6-8 years of monthly history for all financial statements and key drivers of the business. 
The goals of these services are to protect the ultimate value that our clients seek to attain, to anticipate deal issues before they arise,
and to optimize information flow and working capital.

With all of that history, we set out to help anticipate potential buyer concerns and to address ways to mitigate those concerns before the LOI. The PE Perspective® already contains a full datasite that can be exported immediately. This completely avoids the time it takes for the management team to pull together and reconcile analyses necessary for a sale. It also provides for an accurate datasite, avoiding errors as all PE Perspective® System schedules are reconciled each month to internal documents. Clients should position themselves to minimize working capital at least twelve months before a contemplated sale to maximize the cash generated, and they can rely on EVA ‘s detailed insight into working capital trends.

These sell-side services are the culmination of the success of the PE Perspective®. The System is about leveraging the capabilities of our clients and accelerating the realization of stakeholder value.
